AWS Infrastructure Migration Expert
Location: Zimbabwe (Onsite for 1 Year) | Pakistan (Remote/Hybrid after 1 Year)
Position Type: Full-Time Permanent

NorthBay Solutions is seeking an experienced AWS Infrastructure Migration Expert for a full-time permanent role. The position requires the selected candidate to work on-site in Zimbabwe for the first year, after which they will transition to working from Pakistan (either remotely or in a hybrid capacity). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in migrating on-premises infrastructure to AWS and will play a key role in the successful transition of IT systems, applications, and data to the AWS cloud environment.

Note: The candidate must be comfortable with working on-site in Zimbabwe for the first year. After completing the first year, the position will transition to working from Pakistan (remote or hybrid).

Required Skills and Experience:

5+ years of experience in AWS infrastructure migration, including server, database, and application migrations.
Strong understanding of AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Security, CloudWatch, etc.) and best practices for migration.
Hands-on experience with AWS Application Migration Service, AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), and similar tools.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python or Bash.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex migration challenges.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Experience in designing cloud architectures and implementing network security.

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
Experience with multi-cloud migration strategies.
Background in working with IT teams in the financial sector is a plus.
