Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Red Hat OpenShift SME to join our team in Dubai for a 6-month onsite contract. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Azure Cloud, and container orchestration. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, upgrading, and managing OpenShift clusters in enterprise environments across on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, provision, configure, and test enterprise IT infrastructure with a focus on OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and manage OpenShift clusters on on-premise (VMware, OpenStack, Hyper-V, Bare Metal) and public cloud (Azure) environments.
- Deploy, manage, and optimize OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) for persistent storage.
- Manage container registries (Quay, Docker Hub, Red Hat Quay) and oversee container storage implementation.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD, Tekton, and Azure DevOps for OpenShift deployments.
- Monitor and troubleshoot OpenShift clusters using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and EFK stacks.
- Perform backup, disaster recovery, and security hardening for OpenShift environments.
- Configure and optimize network policies, ingress/egress rules, service mesh, and OpenShift Operators.
- Ensure compliance and governance by managing RBAC, cluster roles, namespaces, and authentication policies.
- Work closely with DevOps teams, developers, and enterprise architects to support OpenShift deployments.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Azure Cloud, DevOps, and Container Technologies.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (versions 3.x & 4.x) and Kubernetes.
- Experience in OpenShift cluster installation using UPI (User Provisioned Infrastructure) & IPI (Installer Provisioned Infrastructure).
- Expertise in deploying OpenShift on Azure (AKS), and on-premise (VMware, Bare Metal).
- Strong knowledge of Container Orchestration, Service Mesh, and Operators (ACM, ACS, KEDA, Compliance Operators).
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.
- Proficiency in Bash & PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Experience in Persistent Storage Solutions (MinIO, CEPH, Red Hat GlusterFS, IBM Storage).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, Jenkins, Tekton.
- Experience in Kubernetes networking, CNI plugins (OpenShiftSDN, OVN-Kubernetes), and security hardening.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for OpenShift and cloud-native applications.

- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
